1. Who was Shivaji?
He was the son of Shahji Bhonsole a military chief, Shivaji was born at shivneri fort in modern-day Pune on 19 Feb 1630. Due to the frequent invasions people from any race were being hired and while his father went out his mother(Jijabai) used to teach him science and maths and religion etc...whereas his tutor Shivaji I, also called Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was an Indian Ruler and a member of the Bhonsole Maratha clan. Eventually, Shivaji used his guerilla tactic in which each local knowledge of mountains was an advantage as his usual invasions were in mountains and carved out his own Independent kingdom from the declining Adilshahi of Bijapur. In 1674, He has crowned the king at Raigad Fort.
2. How did Shivaji die?
On April 3,1680-Maratha warrior Shivaji Bhonsole better known as Chhatrapati Maharaj died from illness with fever and dysentery. After his death, one of his children Sambhaji Bhonsole succeeded him but was killed by Aurangzeb. Then, Sambhaji's brother Rajaram succeeded him and went to avenge him but this time Marathas won.


3. Rise of Marthas
During the period Marathas were thriving Mughals were declining so, It made the path easy for Marathas to become the central power as it shared borders only with the Mughals.
After the Marathas came out during the time when Europe gained over the Mughals slowly which was them huge economical damage making working ⚒ conditions worse and a rebellion came in Marathas were leading.

4. Decline of Marthas

Similar to Mughal's Decline Many kingdoms attacked them but there was a slight difference most of the kingdoms in India attacked them with the British for revenge and were usually betrayed until 1857 when Baji Rao II  surrendered to the British.
